What's the maximum number of people
you can accommodate? |
| |
We have
four large bedrooms with 4 double beds and two single
beds.. Therefore we can comfortably accommodate eight
guests. However, such a situation is rare when we take
single occupancy into account. Usually the numbers are
between five and seven. |
| |
|
Do you mix painting and photography
holidays in the same week? |
| |
Yes, very much
so. We are client driven. |
| |
|
What's the maximum number of
painters or photographers you take at any one time? |
| |
We never take more than four painters
at any one time and, if it's a mixed week, we take no more
than four photographers either.
However, if more than four photographers wished to come at
the same time (say, for example, members of a camera club),
we would take up to six people and restrict that week solely
to photography. |

|
Why is there
a "free day" on Sunday? Why can't we start the learning
process straight away? |
| |
Because, often,
our guests have travelled many thousands of miles across
many time zones and we have found that they need this day to
recover from the journey. It also gives us time to mow the
lawns, clean the pool and see to any maintenance jobs that
have cropped up! |
|
|
|
What happens if you only get one
person booking for a particular week? |
| |
Then that person lives with us as
family. They get to meet our friends and have the time of
their lives. It's happened only twice in our early days but both times the
feedback was "that was simply the best holiday I've ever
had!" |
| |
|
Can I share a
room to reduce costs? |
| |
No. We can't ask
other guests to share a room with someone they don't know. |
| |
|
Will I be asked to
share a room? |
| |
No. We never ask
clients to share a room with people they don't know. |
| |
|
Do I need to bring towels with me? |
| |
No. We provide
all linen. |
| |
|
What equipment to I need to bring? |
| |
Please refer to our
Equipment page where this topic
is covered in detail.. |
| |
|
Can you cope with vegetarians or
people with special dietary needs? |
| |
Yes. Our booking form asks if you
have any special dietary needs and food is organised accordingly. |
| |
|
Do you cater
for beginners? |
| |
We certainly do!
Beginners are very welcome. Please see
our "Beginners" page |
| |
|
I'm not an expert or a
professional. Will I feel out of place? |
| |
No. Every client
receives individual attention based on his or her level of
knowledge and experience. |
| |
|
What are the arrival and departure
times? |
| |
The holidays run Saturday to Saturday
and your arrival/departure as regards "chez nous" will
normally be determined by your flight times. However, if
there are several people to be collected from or taken to
the same airport at different times on the same day then,
for arrivals, the latest pick-up time will apply to everyone
and, for departures, the time we have to leave the house to
catch the earliest flight will apply to all. Unusually early
departures that make this impractical may incur an
additional charge.
In any event, on arrival "chez nous", your room won't
normally be ready until after 4 p.m. and we do ask you to
vacate your room by 09:30 on the day of departure. This
allows us to prepare for incoming guests. However, you are
free to use the garden, pool, galerie and downstairs
bathroom whilst you are waiting for your transport.
As evening
arrivals clash with dinner arrangements for all guests, you
should try to ensure that your times are reasonable
otherwise your collection may incur an additional charge. |
