Photographers on a pre-breakfast trip to catch the sun
coming up over the mist-filled valley of the river Garonne at Clermont-Dessous
(shot in late September so not too early!)
We will transport you
around the region in vehicles chosen for their comfort,
safety and visibility.
So as to
bring a little coolness and freshness to days that can
sometimes get a little warm, the vehicles are fully
air-conditioned.
Each vehicle also carries a refrigerated unit for food and
drinks etc (which keeps the rosé nice and cold!)
Tonneins
(pronounced "Tonnass"), is just 5 kms away from
"chez nous". With a population of 9,500 it is the fourth
largest town in the Lot-et-Garonne and has several nice
bars, restaurants and cafes. If you wish to visit there on
your day off, we will transport you to and from the town at
pre-arranged times.
The immediate area
around the house is in the old flood plain of La Garonne and is
therefore very
suitable for cycling.
You could cycle along the beautiful Canal Latéral (above) and visit
the pretty village of Le Mas d'Agenais whose
wonderful church of St. Vincent
actually has a Rembrandt hanging in the nave!
Cycles are
available for hire from us at 10 Euros per day (or part
thereof).
If you
wish to
hire a car
locally (available in Tonneins and Marmande), or drive down to us
in your own car, we have
ample parking space available
